Review the nursing process and recall that interventions aren't just what meds the nurse give. What non-pharmacological interventions can you the nurse do/provide? What priority teaching should you give to the patient? When it comes to teaching, I focus on what I as the nurse have to know to take care of the patient. Because if I have to know it before administering the medication or implementing the non- pharmacological intervention, shouldn't the patient know it too?
