Unit 4 assignment 3
P8
The key goal of this event was to raise funds for our chosen charity which is loros and also to raise
profile and awareness of this charity in the event. To help us achieve these aims we had some key
objectives. The first objective was to raise £125 amount of funds as a group for loros. This donation
needed to be raised on Monday the 25 th from 8am to 3pm by selling coffees and cakes. Our group
feel that with proper and successful promotion over £25 of funds can be raised. Our next objective
was to attract over 15 people to attend the event by raising more awareness of the event by doing
lots of advertisements by posters and through the college box portal web. This objective will help us
to achieve our aim of raising donations for our charity loros as more people will be there to donate.
If this objective is successful in helping us achieve our aim, then in the future there could be more
opportunities for more events for other charities which will raise the reputation of the college.
Meeting the objectives
The first objective was to raise an £125 amount of money for the charity loros as a group. This was
needed to be done on Monday the 25 th April from 8am till 3pm. We were little bit late in creating our
posters and to put them around the college to promote our event. We launched information on the
college box portal 3 days before the event so it gives time for everyone to see and come to our
event. From there on the day of the event we were able to raise from selling 4 cakes in 16 slices for
£66.50 and sold 35 coffees for £2 each so we made total of £136.50 by 3pm on Monday 25 th April.
This clearly shows that the first objective was successful as we exceeded our target which shows this
event was more successful than we thought it would be. This clearly demonstrates that the
marketing tactics we used were successful in attaining our goals. Our second objective was to gather
more than 15 people to attend by using our promotion tactics which was posters which were
created by one of the team members and were put around the college and the other advertisement
we did for our event was to put the information about the event on the college box portal which
clearly worked out to be a big hit because at the day of the event over 15 people attended the event
and that’s why this objective turned out to be successful. This was a compilation of all of our
teammates' contributions. This was a tremendous success for our team and contributed significantly
to raising publicity for our event. A few of the main factors I consider the event was a success is the
increased awareness we were capable of achieving by setting appropriate goals.
Meeting the aims
The aim of this event we set as a group was to raise donations for the charity loros and raise
awareness and profile of the charity. We anticipated that these objectives could be met. Our
outcomes were never going to be tremendous because our event was so small as it was only done in
the college, but we could readily tell that our initial goal of collecting funds for our event was met as
we collected £135.50 altogether. were able to surpass our original target, which was a significant
achievement for our team. Our next goal for the event was to spread awareness and raise profile for
the organisation. Because the charity is so large and well-known, it was difficult to raise publicity and
educate more individuals about it because everybody already knew beforehand about the charity.
As a result, I would not really entirely be able to call this goal a success because we didn't raise any
additional exposure for the charity. Nevertheless, I would not really say we didn't increase
awareness because we were able to further advertise the organisation and reiterate the concept of
a charity organisation to individuals. As a result, I would consider this goal to have been somewhat
accomplished.
, Stakeholders
A stakeholder is someone who has an interest in a firm and can influence or be influenced by it.
Investors, workers, consumers, and suppliers are the major stakeholders in a normal firm. The
stakeholder in our event was involved was the group members and people who donated for our
charity. Our event was a small event so not many stakeholders were involved and not many people
were affected. As on the other side if it was a large event, we might need stakeholders like suppliers
to be involved. At the end of the event, we were able to take feedback about the event from the
people who attended. We took feedback through a questionnaire which was on the college box
portal this was great way to take feedback as it was less time consuming and will help in the future
to improve on things that we missed. Overall, we had about over 25 feedbacks done from the
customers and lots of those feedback were positives and there was some feedback which stated
things we need to improve on when we next do the event. Also, at the end of the event I asked all
my team members what their thoughts were on the events and was there any feedback that we
need to improve on next time but they were all happy with the success of the event and thought
everything was perfect.
