EHR System Training Plan
All training will be done alongside tests to enable Yorkshire Clinic users’ familiarity and
grasp of all system functionalities and address possible future issues. The tests and training are
expected to start on 9/9/2020 and end on 2/10/2020. A waterfall and incremental system design
and implementation process were used. The vendor will consistently interact with Yorkshire
clinic staff until the live system is up and reliable for use.
Super-User Training
When the vendor does first pieces of training, a group of super-users will be trained on
using the EHR, learn techniques, tips and hits so that they can in turn help staff, physicians,
nurse, management and IT support team with internal training sessions ("How should I train my
staff? | HealthIT.gov", 2019). This training will be a specialized training session as super users will
be considered experts and know all the system components as good as the vendor does.
Role-Based Training
Training periods will be associated with staff responsibilities. Each group, physicians, nurse,
management, and information technology support team, will have their training session as they
have unique system needs.
Process-based training
The new EHR will impact the clinic's workflows. Hospital staff will be trained on the processes
incorporated in the EHR, and the system will facilitate patient clinical summary generation.
