It is defined by the FBI as the criminal use of violence and force against human people or their property in order to threaten them for particular political or social purposes. It is thought to have originated around 1007 A.D. and evolved during the reigns of Stalin and Lenin in the Soviet Union and Mao Tse-tung in China. Many people regard Hitler's actions in Germany to constitute terrorism, which makes sense when you think about it. In America, we have terrorism committed by our own countrymen in our country, such as the Oklahoma City bombing. Timothy McVeigh is just interested in himself and his own political goal.
