○ The reward is shared between the group therefore each individual may receive s
compared to solitary hunting
• Solitary
○ High value risk, high reward strategy
○ The amount of food may be higher compared to social hunting however the amo
expenditure in catching prey is much higher
○ The risk of the prey escaping is also much higher compared to social hunting
• Pursuit hunting

○ Endurance/persistence
○ Lunge feeding
• Ambush
○ Camouflage
○ Can aid with stalking and increase hunting success rate
○ Low energy expenditure however has a low success rate
