Part 1: Describe two psychological terms.
Learning Difficulties
The term learning difficulties refers to a particular problem and type of special educational
needs, of which is not linked to intelligence, that can represent an obstacle in a person’s
ability to reach specific targets academically or educationally. Two examples of such
problems in psychology are difficulties with reading and difficulties understanding numbers.
The terms for these specific learning difficulties are called dyslexia and dyscalculia,
respectively. A learning difficulty, unlike a learning disability is not an intellectual
impairment, but instead, a certain condition that can impact on an individual’s learning pace
when compared to their peers.

Test Standardisation
The term test standardisation refers to the effective execution of a test to a large quantity of
a particular group or population that the test is designed for. From this, test norms can be
found by acquiring a reliable estimate of the test outcomes. An example of this in
psychology is the more up to date versions of the Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale (WAIS).
The test was standardised against a wider group of people from different ethnicities, levels
of education, gender, and geographical location. This provided a more accurate
representation of the test norms.

Question 1
Answer a- Four: before the study began, after one week of different lunches, after one
month of different lunches and three months after the lunches programme ended.
Question 2

the first week of the study.
Question 3

lunches increased after one month. However, three months after the lunches programme
had ceased, this improvement in the average IQ score was only sustained in the healthy
lunches group.
