STEM = Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics


Sience = Wetenschap  TP’ers doen onderzoek om echte problemen van echte mensen te

begrijpen. (onderzoek naar eenzaamheid jongeren, diagnostisch onderzoek).


Technology = technologie  TP’ers lossen de problemen op voor mensen. Technologie is vaker de

oplossing of een onderdeel ervan. (VR in de zorg, gezondheidsapp).


Engineering = programmeren  TP’ers werken samen, ook met mensen uit technische boeken.

(TP’ers kunnen helpen bij vormgeven van inhoud van serious games).


Mathematics = wiskunde  TP’ers maken gebruik van data om nieuwe inzichten op te doen. (TP’ers

kunnen data van twitter gebruiken om te onderzoeken hoe mensen over de avondklok denken).


Computational thinking = probleem ontrafelen en oplossingen formuleren zodat je een computer, of

mens, de opdracht kunt geven het probleem effectief op te lossen.
