General Discussion:
• This involves describing the stages of a process or a cycle.
• There are no longer numbers so we use Present Tenses to
describe the diagrams.
• We ignore the human subjects. In other words, we do not
mention who is involved in the process/cycle. Therefore,
passive voice sentences are mostly used.
, The differences between process diagrams and cycle diagrams.

a must to say “The cycle starts

These paragraphs are the examples of wrong ways of describing diagrams:
➢ To bake a cake, first, mix some flour with two eggs and some sugar. Use a
mixer instead of a whisk to save time. After the mixture becomes batter, add
any flavor essence you like. Next, pour the batter onto the baking pan and
put it into the oven under the heat of 180 degrees centigrade. Lastly, take it
out when it is done and serve it with some assorted toppings.
➢ To grow a honey bee, lay the eggs once every three days. Wait until they
hatch after 9 to 10 days. Once they hatch, let the young bee called nymph
to grow bigger three times for three weeks. After they become adult bees,
allow them to reproduce and repeat the cycle.
