Types of goals
• Short term goals : months - 1 year.
• Medium term goals : 1 - 3 years.
• Long term goals : 3+ years.

A five-step method for goal setting
• Write down your goal.
• Check it to see if it is a SMART goal.
• Draw up a plan of action to achieve your goal.
• Execute your action plan.
• Evaluate to determine if you have achieved your goal.

Be SMART (SMART Method)
• Specific : you know exactly what your goal is.
• Measurable : you can measure your progress.
• Tangible : you can achieve this goal.
• Realistic : this is a goal that is possible to achieve.
• Time bound : you can achieve this goal within a given period of time.
