One of the major differences between a nursing model and nursing theory is that the nursing
conceptual model is to provide guidance, particularly to the individual in their research whereas,
the nursing theory explains the nursing phenomenon process which is based on the research.
The nursing process theory mainly focuses on the guidance provided to the nurse for the
assessment of the patient. This theory provides support in managing patient care as it is patient-
centered. It increases the efficiency of the treatment as it enables nurses to meet the needs of the
patients, diagnosis, assessment, etc.
One of the types of nursing theory is Grand nursing theories. The grand nursing theories are
having a wide reach and present common abstractions and propositions. The hypothesis at this
position may both indicate and supply intuitions important for operation but are not intended for
empirical trial. This restricts the utilization of grand nursing postulations for directing,
describing, and forecasting nursing in specific conditions. Anyway, these postulates may include
ideas that can supply themselves to empirical trialing. The theories at this rank are deliberated on
every occasion of nursing. And the grand theories also contain conceptual substructures
explaining wide views for training and route for focusing at nursing phenomena based on the
view.
