1. In order to communicate effectively, you should at all times strive to
use language appropriately, taking into account audience, purpose and
context.
2. Revise Transactional formats: Conventions, structure, paragraphing,
sentence structure, punctuation register and audience.

PART 1: REGISTER, STYLE AND TONE
Writing is a means of expressing facts or opinions. This can be done
through formal or informal writing. The style of the writing should take
into consideration the circumstances of the event or message as well as
the audience the writer is addressing.

Style : The way in which a writer uses words to establish a specific
meaning in the text.
Register : The appropriate use of language for a particular situation.
Register is the appropriateness of style, tone and word choice.
Tone : The attitude of the writer to the content.
