Describe a time when you felt scared.
The deck was eerily silent, as heat and sweat dripped and licked my sunburned
face. I was perplexed as I anxiously murmured to myself under my icy cold
breath, "Where am I?". I was petrified for I had never been in a situation like
this before. Even the always chirping, hummingbirds were silent. "Did nature
bid adieu?" I exclaimed. The fact that I knew this was just the beginning made
my blood run cold.
"Charlotte?" I whispered as fear and terror took over my voice. My eyes sore as
they scanned the deck to witness nobody. My heart thudded loudly against my
chest as I reiterated. Sadly, none responded. I massaged my temples, with
trembling hands, listening to the wind howling. With thoughts spiralling out of
control, from far across the deck I saw a distorted shadow approach me.
"Charlotte? Is that you?" I whispered a sigh of relief but was frightened for what
was to come. I stood motionless, staring at Charlotte as an unsettling gust of
wind blew her uncombed, shabby hair covering her murky black eyes,
obstructing her sight. Through her tattered and fetid smelling shirt, cold stabbed
