HelloClass, ThisweekIhavedecidedtogowithscenario#2 In most cases I do prefer to work alone. However, as I have gotten older and have gained moreexperience in life, I have grown to work well with others when needed. I chose scenario #2 because Ihavedeltwithdifficultwo-corkerswhomayalternativelymotives.Ihadreceivedsomegoodadvicefrommy mother a long time ago. She told me to put my problem-solving skills to use. There are ways to solvea problem without creating more conflict. Take the time to think about how you want to approach aproblem before you start to solve it. My mother completed this conversation by telling me to make surethatI work smarter, notharder. According to (McLean, 2018), an appointed leader is an induvial designated by an authority toserve in the leadership capacity. Since my manager has made me an appointed leader, I would approachthe situation in a different way. In a situation where I believe that the group of members are too high, Iwould arrange a meeting with the manager with a counter idea. Before that meeting, I would make aplan or presentation for my manager that would show how the group can and would be more efficientwith a smaller group. I would also make a point to include John as a team member for the group andprovide a specific job for him so that the manger can provide feedback and hopefully approve. I wouldmake sure that I use John’s strong suite to further convince my manager as to why I assigned John thatjob as a team member. The reason I would include John as part of the team rather than trying toconvince my manager to exclude him from the group is because I know that I still must keep an openmindandworkwitheverybodyregardlessofwhetherorIliketheperson.Accordingto(Robinson,2021),Sometimesdifferencescanalsoleadtomisunderstandings,conflict,andresentment.MyfeelingforJohncanverywellcomefromamisunderstandingduringtheprojectorsomethingelse.Itdoesnotmeanthathecannotdohisjoband Imust find awaytoworkwith him.
