Dialysis Safety I believe that Dialysis centers should be held to the same safety standards as other healthcare facilities. These facilities are the same as other healthcare facilities in the fact that they deal with patients everyday that even though they are there for dialysis, have other medical conditions as well. These facilities are dealing with medical equipment that treats patients' blood by taking the blood out of the body, through a dialysis machine, and placing it back in the patient using an implanted device typically in the arm (WebMD. 2016). This is a fairly invasive procedure that deals with a catheter going directly into the patients’ body
