Lack of infrastructure in school can deny learners their constitutional right to education (Marishane, 2016). The following content will cover lack of infrastructure in schools, and its effect on learners. Furthermore, the content will include leadership style that would be suitable to address the problem. Lastly, the content will cover the strategy to address the problem. Insight on the selected challenge and how it affects the learners. The selected challenge is the lack of infrastructure in the school. Lack of infrastructure refers to not having adequate facilities that are essential for effective teaching and learning (Barrett & Treves, 2014). Moreover, the lack infrastructure means the school does not have sufficient sanitation, water supply, electricity supply, fencing and security, sports facilities, computer center, library, suitable learning space and a lack of classrooms. The mentioned infrastructure is important for effective teaching and learning, therefore the lack of such educational infrastructure is a perfect storm for poor academic achievements and high dropout (Draga, 2019). Poor achievements lead to high dropout rate, this need to be addressed in order to ensure that the learners good educational experience. According to Barrett & Treves (2014), when the school has a great lack of education infrastructure the teachers and learners lose motivation and interest towards leaning, which may affect their performance. Furthermore, the lack of infrastructure can be a barrier to teaching and learning for example the lack of adequate sanitary facilities and water may have serious health implications. Girls are more affected as they are pushed out of school due to a lack of sanitation, for example, the older primary school girls miss significant amount of school time when they begin with menstruation. In addition, the lack of classrooms may result in overcrowded learning environments that is not conducive for learning, when classrooms are overcrowded teachers are unable to meet the learning needs of all the lea
