Joseph Stalin was a Georgian
revolutionist and soviet political
leader who governed the soviet union
from 1924 until his death 1953. In
1912 Lenin appointed Stalin to serve
in the central bolshevik party. In 1917
the bolshevik party seized power in
russia. In 1922 the soviet union was
formed with Lenin being its first
leader. In the years to come Stalin
continued to go up the ranks. And
when Lenin died in 1924 Stalin
outmaneuvered his rivals and Born: December 6th 1878
became the leader of the soviet
