Brin d’ADN = polymère de nucléotides




L’ADN est toujours constitué de 2 brins antiparallèles, toujours en structure en
double hélice (la molécule d’ADN est faite de 2 brins liés entre eux par des
liaisons hydrogène et qui s’enroulent en hélice).

2) Une molécule codante et variable

Dans l’ARN, la Thymine est remplacée par l’Uracile. Un codon = 3 bases
azotées.

4) Les chromosomes
a) Notion de chromatide et de chromosome

L’ADN est entouré autour de protéines appelées histones. C’est comme ça que
l’ADN se condense.




Une molécule d’ADN s’appelle chromatide. L’ADN y est associé avec des
protéines variées (histones), donc un chromosome = une chromatide. Dans un
chromosome double, les deux chromatides sont strictement identiques et
reliées entre elles par le centromère. Les chromosomes sont observables
uniquement lors des divisions cellulaires où ils sont alors individualisés et
condensés. Le reste du temps ils sont décondensés et forment la chromatine.
