The role of adverting agency and the media
Role of advertising agencies in the development of a
successful promotional campaign
Advertising agencies help the business or clients to create a
promotional campaign that attracts customers. Firstly, the
advertising agencies have to do a research brief about what the
clients are expecting as an outcome. Generally, the agencies
should be aware of the aims of the promotional campaign that
is required. Also the targeted customers are considered by the
agencies whereby the business will have to create a
promotional campaign that best suit the target audiences. For
instance, if the target consumers are under the age of 18, the
agency will not use unsuitable or explicit contents.
The type of media that is to be used for the promotional
campaign is also put in to consideration. Another important
factor for the research brief is that the agency has to have the
knowledge of what appropriate moment or time is suitable to
publicise the advertising message. For an example, a business
cannot show a Christmas commercial during the Easter
holidays because it does not suit the season. The factors that
will pursue the customers to make a purchase on the client
goods are put in to consideration by the advertising agencies.
