Pret
Introduction to Pret A Manger Ltd
Pret is a sandwich and coffee shop which is an
international success. Prets first shop opened in
London in 1984 and was a huge success. They have
said to have a simple mission which is “To serve
freshly made food and good organic coffee, while also
trying to do the right thing” implying that they wanna
do right by the customers but also right buy ethics
making it so people know that it is a company which
knows where its moral compass is.

Pret have many different schemes put in place to help
better their company from apprenticeships to how
they manage food waste. Pret has a unique selling point which is why they start so
much they tend to put a lot of ingredients in their products which are commonly
found which is what makes them so different. Pret has over 450 shops in 9 different
countries and was founded by Jeffrey Hyman in 1983.

C.P4: The internal, external and competitive environment

The External Competitive Environment: PESTLEC

Political:
This is the government said of the business where a lot of the business will change
depending on this. This British Pret is a company which employs multiple people in
multiple different stores so the government will be more inclined to give them money
as it helps to bring up the British economy which is one of the main things the
government cares about.

They will be more inclined to want the conservative party to be in the rain of the
government as it is going to make them more money as this is the party's main
concern. Although this is good for the businesses profits and annual turnover it
wouldn’t be good since they will want to reduce the employee pay as they will want
more money doing towards making the business shine. Although the labour party is
similar in the sense that they want the business to do good as they want the
economy going up they will do this in other methods as they know it isn’t fair and
ethically right to cut pay; alternatively, they will want to tax the rich more.
