My philosophy of teaching

I trust that a teacher is honourably obligated to come in the classroom with only the top
of hopes for each and every one of his/hers learners. The teacher exploits the
encouraging benefits which naturally come alongside with any self-fulfilling prediction.
Teaching is done with dedication, diligence and hard work, then the learners will rise to
the occasion. In a classroom, learners are not the same with their learning ability and
another problem that give them hard time to focus on learning is the stage of
adolescent stage. Also the deferences of cultures, mostly especial when it comes to
home language learning. As language teacher it’s wise to have good principle and
method to make sure that all learners learn in the classroom despite stage of
adolescent and culture deferences.


I am very keen about working or teaching the fet high school learners. Because they
are at the age where they are just beginning to consider who real they are and where
they want to go in life and i trust that this is one of the most significant periods in
personal development and growth. Adolescent learners are fragile, they hunger for
acceptance, encouragement, recognition and their hopes can be simply teared with a
incorrect word or a disappointing outcome. Such characteristics bring a positive
challenge to the view of teaching in a high school. I need to be a positive role model
and cheerleader for my learners, to be a listening ear, to be a knowledgeable resource
and also a collaborator for problem solving in the classroom. I also want to provide my
learners some level of independence in relationship to the work and activities that they
are doing in class; at their age, most of learners want more responsibility and control
over their own success. I want to make available opportunities for them to build such
skills while they are in my class atmosphere.


Learner learning styles must be holistic and analytic; inductive and deductive and
visual-oral. As a teacher i should differ tasks and efforts. I should consider
meaningfulness tasks, activities, and the language used. Also consider what kinds of
feedback must i be given to learners and when. I must consider learner interests,
needs, expectations and reasons for study. Learners must be accountable for learning
in terms of attendance, attention, and classwork and homework. As adolescent
learners , the learners will be maximum motivated when they have some control over
and choice in what and how they learn, particularly in terms of task, task style, content
of class resources and focus of the class.

, As a teacher i aim to convey an open mind, positive attitude, and great expectations to
the classroom all days. I trust that i owe it to my learners, also the community, to convey
consistency, persistence and friendliness to my work in the faith that i can eventually
inspire and encourage such traits in the learners.i must be devoted to constant learning
and desire to create influences to my team of colleagues and the field of education. My
philosophy of teaching is established on what i know and have experienced in my
career. I am guaranteed that my teaching philosophy will be amendment as i learn
further as a young professional teacher. That is one of gifts of being human being, that
we can make mistakes, learn something new and create a change for better future. A
classroom must be a safe, gentle community whereby learners are free to voice their
mind and flourish and develop. I will use approaches to guarantee our classroom
community will flourish as the morning gathering, positive vs negative discipline,
classroom works and problem-solving skills. I believe that teaching is a course of
learning from learners, colleagues, community and the parents. This is a constant
process whereby i learn new approaches, new ideas, and new philosophies. In due
time, my teaching philosophy may change and its okay. I believe in growth and learning
new things.


I believe that good relationship amongst the fet high school teacher and learners is built
on a solid establishment of common understanding, respect and trust. In order to
excellently assess learners’ wants and needs, as a teacher i must first understand the
learners and where they’re coming from and their age group or stage. I must be the
initial to open the doors of good communication, as not all learners and parents will
show that inventiveness. I must also be willing to communicate my own expectations to
from class, having a genuine attitude toward learners and display a concern for both
their classwork activities and their lives is vital when doing this. When we both the
teacher and learners understand each other’s goals and points of view, the building
blocks of common respect are developed. Both teachers and learners look for and
deserve respect as human kind and individuals; i as a teachers also seek respect in the
professional intelligence, but must be careful how to go about it. As a teacher, i will be in
a position of authority, but i don’t want to be an authoritarian .


I believe that learners learn language best once they feel happy in the classroom and
given as various opportunities as possible to participate. I must provide learners with
meaningful content in all of my classes and encourage them to use that content to
interact to talk and listen with classmates and teachers. Learners must receive frequent
and detailed feedback from the teacher on reading, writing, listening, and speaking. I
must provide information about different aspects of language needed for communicative
competence: phonology, discourse, grammar, pragmatics, writing styles and
conventions, semantics, literacy , cultural customs and values, and communicative and
