Evaluation of my suitability for employment through my job application and positive
impression with my interview skills
After completing my interview for P5, I was given feedback based on my positivity and
interview skills which I was able to deliver on efficiently. This opinion was given to me by my
Travel and Tourism teacher (Mrs Bentley) who stood in as my interviewer.
Interview skills - I was able to effectively deliver all required information from my CV and
application form through memory and used this knowledge to answer questions about my
qualifications, skills in the workplace, why I wanted the apprenticeship and my past
experiences in the customer service industry. I understood how to correctly answer
questions and stay on track to ensure the correct information was used. At the end of the
interview, I was given the chance to ask a question to the interviewer. I asked if there was
any chance of progression in the business, this showed that I was interested in staying with
the business in the future and that I wanted to ensure I could make this happen.
Positive impressions – Through out my interview, I was able to keep a positive demeanour
when answering any questions to make it appear that I was content with obtaining the job.
Some examples of this would be when I was asked what motivated me to pick the
apprenticeship. I answered using an excited but professional manner, this made me seem
that I wanted to be there and that what I was saying was honest.
Conclusion –
In conclusion, I know that I possess the correct skills needed to complete an interview. I
have an understanding that positivity and good interview skills are both needed in order to
acquire the job.
