Databases is where they store their data for organization, records, and transactions purposes. It's how businesses keep track of how their business is doing and it's what helps the business run effectively. Databases help generate sales/profits by displaying data to support what transaction are going when, where, and how. They also display where sales/profits are decreasing or increasing so that businesses can plan how they want to make more profit and grow the business going forward. Today I mostly interact with Microsoft and Excel. They both help me organize and manage the data for the business that I work for. They help me write, communicate, and evaluate certain information effectively, efficiently, and in a timely manner. Poatsy, M. A., Krebs, C. (07/2013). Database Essentials for Business, 1st Edition. I also use Excel daily in my job. Almost every single part of my job I use Excel. With using Excel I am becoming more proficient, as well as use some of the knowledge I have learned from a previous Database Essentials class that I have taken.
