You have secured a work experience placement within a
Forensic Psychology Department where you will gain an
insight into their work in methods used for profiling
Vocational Scenario or individuals who exhibit criminal tendencies. As part of your
Context placement you have been requested to produce a range of
offender profiles, which requires evidence on the methods
and techniques used. These offender profiles will be applied
to a case study.
Produce offender profiles that provide an assessment and
explanation on the different profiling methods.
Your profiles should include the following:
● Produce a comprehensive offender profile using
different profiling methods and justify the
effectiveness of the techniques used with the support
of theoretical application.
Task 3 ● Assess own offender profile making reference to the
use and limitations of techniques applied with the
support of theoretical application.
● Explain the techniques applied in own offender
profile, making reference to their limitations with
supported theoretical application.
● Produce an outline offender profile using different
profiling methods.
