1. Students can be confused about the past form of te verb as 1. I will write a number of commonly used verbs on the board
some follow a regular pattern and some follow a irregular in their present form. I will then work with the class to
pattern change the present form of the verb into the past
2. The concept of the past continuous tense being that it’s a continuous form.
