The factors that the teacher assessed in this community’s readiness to learn were perceived needs, interests and concerns, educational background, maturation level and age, degree of motivation and cultural social economic factors. The group showed emotional readiness by verbalizing the desire to learn about managed their blood pressure and compliance with medications.. Learning Theory to Be Utilized: Explain how the theory will be applied. The teacher will educate the group about blood pressure and why it's important to maintained good pressure. She will ask everyone do they know what's a good bolo pressure and bad blood pressure. Ask the group who monitor their good pressure and daily and when should the report significant change in BP. She will have everyone demonstrated how to take his/her blood pressure. The teacher will provide everyone with note pad and pen to write down their blood pressure. For those who have blood pressure doesn't own a machine, she will encourage them to purchase one at their local pharmacy. Goal: Healthy People 2020 (HP2020) objective(s) utilized as the goal for the teaching. Include the appropriate objective number and rationale for using the selected HP2020 objective (use at least one objective from one of the 24 focus areas). If an HP2020 objective does not support your teaching, explain how your teaching applies to one of the two overarching HP2020 goals.
