Despite the country's prosperity, one of the most contentious issues of the election season
has been access to affordable health care. According to the Pew Research Center, only 6% of
respondents consider health insurance a minor issue (6%) or not a problem (2%) (Pew Research
Center, 2019). Healthcare is one of the most complex and important challenges facing
Americans today.
Gallup conducted a public opinion poll to determine public opinion about the health care
system in the United States. According to a public survey in the United States, 14% of
respondents believed that the country's health care system was at risk, and 53% believed it was
seriously flawed (Moore, 2004). In a December Reuters/Ipsos poll, 62 percent of Republicans
and 67 percent of Democrats expressed concerns about access to health care (Jost, 2016).
Healthcare is an important issue that affects all Americans, not just those who are elderly or
children.
Why We Need to Advocate for Change
The rising cost of health care has a significant impact on the entire American medical
system. Americans' fear of this issue dominates discussions about health care, influences
insurance coverage decisions, and sparks political debate. The cost of healthcare has a big impact
on how people choose to seek treatment and how much they end up spending on medical bills.
According to a survey by the new Kaiser Family Foundation, the public is concerned about rising
health care costs (Kirzinger et al., 2020).
For starters, it indicated that healthcare expenses are at the center of practically every
conversation. According to a recent KFF study, healthcare expenses have risen to the top of the
public's list of top health worries. Health-care expenses routinely score first among the topics
Americans want the government to solve and political candidates to highlight. A large portion of
