What roles do personal or demographic factors play in consumer/customer decision to purchase product or service? How do these factors influence consumer behavior?
Culture refers to a shared beliefs, customs, behaviors and attitude that characterized the society. The demographic/societal factor play more dominant roles compared to personal factor and can cause deviation from general patterns of consumer decision making. Cultures affect the way people search and look for information about a certain need/problem. As we can divide Societal Classifications according to one's economic stability i.e. Upper-Upper Class, Lower-Upper Class, Upper-Middle Class, Middle Class, Working Class, Lower but not Lowest Class, Lowest Class. So the societal behavior towards buying the products differ than the other according to their position, status, post, power aristocratic approach & family values etc. (Principle of Marketing 2015)
