, Definitions:
Intramolecular bond: a bond occurring between atoms within molecules.
Electronegativity: a measure of the tendency of an atom to attract a bonding
pair of electrons.
Covalent bond: a sharing of at least one pair of electrons by 2 atoms.
Non- polar covalent: an equal sharing of elections. (Pure covalent)
Polar covalent: an unequal sharing of elections leading to a dipole forming.
Ionic bond: a transfer of electrons and subsequent electrostatic attraction.
Metallic bond: a bond between a positive Kernel and sea of delocalised
Electrons.
Intermolecular forces: a weak force of attraction between molecules or
between atoms of noble gas.
Mixture: a combination of 2 or more substances, in which each substance
retains its identity.
Solution: a homogeneous mixture of two or more substances.
Miscible: liquards which mix.
