Discuss how muscles help in the function of communication:
Your Answer:
Movement is the largest function of muscles. Muscles serve a role in communication by
moving to allow us to speak and for nonverbal communication like facial expressions.
One specific example is the orbicularis oris. This is a circular muscle that surrounds the
mouth. It works to close or protrude the lips especially in activities suchs as speaking.
This is a very specialized muscle in human speech.
Muscles contract to allow us to speak; both verbal and nonverbal
