Amoxicillin 200mg/5ml suspension
Sig: take 10ml by mouth twice daily for 10 days
Dispense 200 ml 0 refills
The supply is at 200mg/5mL and I need to give 80-90mg/kg or 800-900mg/day of
amoxicillin 2x a day. The child weight 22lbs/ 10kg
800-900mg would be 20mL - 22.5mL of amoxicillin in 2 divided doses, which would be
10mL-11.25 mL every 12 hours
Therefore sig would be 10mL by mouth twice a day for 10 days.
Dispense would be 20ml per day for 10 days which equal to dispense 200 ml
20x10=200 ml
