Cefalo-caudaal principe:
1. Baby dat op zijn buik ligt en zijn hoofd recht houdt.
2. Een peuter die recht kan zitten.
3. Een peuter die al kan lopen.

Dit zie je duidelijk in de motorische ontwikkeling. Dit principe loopt van boven naar beneden. Hoofd naar
voeten. Je tekent eerst een hoofd met 2 armen, daarna pas het lichaam en de benen.

Proximo-distaal principe:
Ontwikkeling van het grijpen. Ontwikkelen van binnen naar buiten uit. Lichaamsdelen in het midden
ontwikkelen zich sneller dan de buitenste.
