To introduce myself, my name is Selin Gunduz, and I am 21 years old. I have recently graduated from
the International Business course at the University of Applied Sciences Fontys in Eindhoven. During
my studies, I spent my last year of study doing an internship for six months at the company Wiertz
Personeelsdiensten where I worked under the position of HR Consultant.
Immediately after the end of my internship period, I was hired by the company as a full-time
employee for the summertime vacation for six weeks. Here I was allowed to continue under the
position of HR Consultant. During this period, I had the opportunity to expand my tasks and gain
experience in the field of project management. Furthermore, I also had to work abroad for five days
during those six weeks. Besides, during this period, I was also allowed to develop myself in the areas
of independence, using initiative, and getting others to take action and think creatively about
solutions.
The reason this job appeals to me is that I see how many opportunities the job offers to grow and
build experience. I see this as a good opportunity to develop myself in the profession I am passionate
about. While I highly valued my time at my previous company, there are no longer opportunities for
growth that align with my career goals. This position fits perfectly with my skill set and how I am
looking to grow in my career.
