Therapie:
 Chirurgie
 Radiotherapie
 Chemotherapie
 Adjuvante therapie  aanvullende behandeling/ na de primaire therapie
- Chemotherapie
 Neoadjuvante therapie  voor de primaire therapie
- Chemotherapie, radiotherapie en hormonale therapie
 Hormonale therapie  werkt alleen als er hormoonreceptoren in de tumor
aanwezig zijn
 Immunotherapie  antistoffen tegen tumoreiwitten
 Gentherapie

Chirurgische therapie:

Radicale chirurgie
- Snijwanden worden PA bekeken  kijkt of er nog tumorweefsel in de snijwanden aanwezig
is.
 R0: geen tumorweefsel in de snijwanden (mirco- en macroscopoisch radicaal)
 R1: wel microscopische tumorweefsel in de snijwanden (macroscopisch
radicaal, microscopisch irriadicaal)
 R2: macroscopische tumorweefsel in de snijwanden (mirco- en macroscopisch
irradicaal)

Biopsie = verwijderen van een stukje weefsel om door de patholoog te laten controleren op
kwaadaardige cellen
Curatief = om te genezen
Minimaal invasieve chirurgie=
 Endoscopische ingrepen
 Robotische ingrepen
 Schildwachtklierbiopsie (sentinel node)
Adjuvante chirurgie= chirurgie wordt voorafgaan door chemotherapie en/of radiotherapie.
Bij gastro-intestinale tumoren met doorgroei in hoofd hals gebied

Profylactische chirurgie= om te voorkomen dat je kanker krijgt
 Familaire kankervormen:
- Polyposis coli (dikke darm) , MEN (endocriene) syndroom en
mammacarcinoom
Reconstructieve chirurgie= bijvoorbeeld hersteloperaties van de mammacarcinoom
Toegangschirugie= verschaffen van een toegangsweg  centralelijn, hickmann of een PAC.
Metastase chirurgie= wordt alleen toegepast bij solitaire levermetastasen van
coloncarcinomen.
Debulking chirurgie (bij ovariumcarcinoom) = kan niet alles verwijderen
