On this page show what you would write on the white board during the presentation stage, including example sentences, time-line, form and function.
(Be realistic about how much you could put on the board during the lesson and how much students would be able read and take notes on).
1. Warmer Stage Start of lesson written on the board:
My best holiday/vacation!
Students then add their examples underneath:
In December I went to go visit France.
I went to go watch the Opera at the Roman Arena in Verona last year.
In summer, I went to go visit my gran.
Etc.
Teacher writes next heading on the board:
Where I want to go for my next holiday.
2. Presentation
Stage Based off the student’s response:
Sunny
Walk
Beach
Swim
Sandcastles
Teacher writes model sentence:
(Teacher underlines each clause in different coloured pens)
If the weather is nice, I will go for a walk on the beach.
Same sentence form with different examples:
If it stops raining, I will go play in the sand.
