5. USING PINT PREVIEW AND PRINTING A
DOCUMENT:
MICROSOFT WORD allows you to print a document on a printer. A
printout that you obtain on a paper is called hardcopy. The softcopy is
the one that you have on your computer.
Print preview is a feature that allows you to view what a printed
version of the document would look like on the screen before printing
a hard copy. To Print Preview a document follow these steps:
1. Select the file tab. backstage view will appear.
2. from the left panel select print. The print pane will appear.
Use the arrow at the bottom of the print preview to view each page.
5.1. Printing a Document:
To print documents follow these steps:
1. Select the FILE tab. backstage view will appear.
2. From the left panel select print. The print pane will appear.
3. From the Print pane, select the desired printer.
4. Enter the number of copies you want to print.
5. Click on the Print button.
5.2. Customizing Printing:
There are number of options in the Print Pane that you may change
to customize the way you are printing the document.
Some of the common ones are given below:
PAGES: Select this option and insert the page numbers or
page ranges in the box. Specific pages should be separated
by, (comma) and range of the pages should be separated by a –
