Present simple < > Present perfect
Je gebruikt de present simple als iets altijd, nooit of regelmatig gebeurt. In de zin staan
dan vaak de woorden: always, never often, usually, regularly, sometimes, hardly ever. (deze
woorden komen voor de persoonsvorm!)

Je gebruikt de present perfect als je wilt zeggen dat:
1. iets is gebeurd en het niet belangrijk is wanneer
2. iets in het verleden is begonnen en het nog steeds doorgaat (for, in, since)
3. iets in het verleden is gebeurd waarvan je nu het resultaat ziet
4. iets net of nog niet is gebeurd (just, lately, recently, yet)

Present simple: Present perfect: have / has + ed
I live in London. I have lived in London for one year.
He works in Mumbai. He has worked in Mumbai since 2015.
She doesn’t know him well. She hasn’t known him for a long time yet.

Je gebruikt de present continuous om aan te geven dat iets nu aan de gang is. In de zin
staan dan vaak de woorden als: now, right now, at the moment.
Je kunt de present continuous ook gebruiken om aan te geven dat je iets irritant vindt.
Vaak staan er dan woorden als always, constantly na de vorm van to be.
vb: eating / always / is / in class / she = She is always eating in class.


Present simple: Present continuous: am / is / are + ww + ing
I often watch TV. I am watching TV now.
He always plays ball games. He is playing ball games right now.
We usually eat at 7. We are eating at the moment.
