INTL613 Bioterrorism INTL613 Bioterrorism American Military University / School of Security & Global Studies INTL613 I001 Abstract This article discusses the growing threat of bioterrorism and the preparedness of the US to deter and detect bioterrorist attacks. Scientific advances which have made knowledge sharing easier have also increased the accessibility of knowledge and biological materials required to plan and orchestrate terrorism attacks. Drawing on the possession of knowledge and availability of funds among terrorist groups that may conduct bioterrorist attacks, this article reviews the deterrent measures that the US has put in place to lower the risk of bioterrorism.
