Introduction
Objective
In this task, you will be given a networking scenario and a set of network diagrams. You
will be asked to automate one local area network to given specifications as a proof of
concept for the larger network configuration project. Review the “Network Automation
Scenario,” “School District Network Diagram,” and “School District Closet Network
Diagram” supporting documents. Then, build your automation solutions in the lab
environment (“WGU PA Virtual Lab Environment”) provided in the “Web Links” section of
this task. Provide your project documentation via exported text files and screenshots.
Overview
Throughout your career in networking, you will be asked to develop and improve an
organization’s network using automation to support the company’s goals. You will need to
conduct assessments of the organization’s current configuration in order to determine
appropriate solutions for automating its networks. The organization’s leaders may ask you
to develop a plan to automate a state-of-the-art
networking solution with a short deadline.
You are a network engineer working for Autojor—an IT vendor that partners with and
supports networking infrastructure for school districts. You must design a network
automation solution that meets the district’s requirements. More information about the
company and its requirements can be found in the attached “Networking Automation
Scenario.” The two automation solutions you will develop are the deployment of VLANs
and the automation of user accounts on all networking devices and user workstations on
