Questions
1. Explain what group/column Helium and Beryllium each can be found in on the Periodic Table. Determine which features Helium has in
common with features in the vertical group including Beryllium. Use evidence from Data Table 1 to support your answer.

Helium in group 18 is located on the last colum on the right side of the periodic table known as Noble Gases. Beryllium is located in
group 2 which is the second collum from the left side of the perodic table known as Alkaline Earth Metals. The key feature Helium
has in common with the elements in Beryllium's group is the number fo valence electrons . Helium has a total of 2 electrons, which
compelety fills its single eletron shell. Because this is its outermost shell it has 2 valence electrons. Beryllium and all other elements
from group 2 also contain 2 valence electrons. In Data table 1 for beryllium it shows a group number of 2 and electron number of 4.
For Helium the data shows an electron number of 2 because its only shell can hold 2 elctrons its outter valence electron shell count
matches Berylliums outer valence electron count.
