From Candy to Coffee: The Changing Flavours of Life
by Elvis234 | 6th October, 2025

Imagine what it would be like to wake up in your old childhood bedroom. For most of us, it
would be a total nightmare to be in the body of a small child again – or would it?

Firstly, if we were all lovely children again, we would have several advantages. We would be
free from worries about food, clothing, and finances. We would also have more friends
because we would meet and play with them more regularly. Adults don’t have such luxuries;
however, they enjoy other benefits. They can vote and earn money. They have more freedom
and independence, and the possibility of travelling alone.
But now I’d like to share my thoughts with you concerning the drawbacks of being a child and
of being an adult. Children are dependent on adults and are not allowed to do everything
they want. In addition, children must go to school and their freedom is limited by their
parents. Believe it or not, being a grown-up isn’t always an occasion for celebration. Adults
must take on tremendous responsibility for themselves and their families. Sometimes, their
lives can be awful and stressful, too.

All in all, I think it doesn’t matter how old you are. Every stage of life has its pros and cons, so
instead of complaining about the things you aren’t allowed to do, or you can’t do, appreciate
the amazing advantages you do have.
I’m looking forward to reading your thoughts!
