Consider an organization in your field or industry. Describe the essential systems necessary to facilitate continuous change without compromising quality or causing burnout among employees. Describe three factors to consider when making sure that the changes made become permanently imbedded in the organization's culture. The essential systems necessary to facilitate continuous change without compromising quality or causing burnout among employees is to provide a stabilizing foundation. Becauseof the constant change, it is important to keep the company’s purpose in the present and ensure everyone can see the vision for the future. No closed doors, which can put people off and cause for inevitable resistance to change. There must also be encouragement to ensure there is no burn out, and idea remain fresh by encouragement, and the illusion of control. By providing the illusion of control, it helps create a sense of flexibility and allows for energies and talents to help the change initiative. Three factors to consider when making sure that the changes made become permanently imbedded in the organizations culture are to provide metrics to show changes, allow for control and to insure there is clear and precise continuity. An organization in my field or industry is Sutter Health. They are successful because their model is to build and strengthen their team by providing a supportive and inclusive workplace that celebrates diversity and encourages creative problem- solving (Sutter Health, 2019). The essential systems necessary to facilitate continuous change without compromising quality or causing burnout among employees is to build a foundation based on change. Due to the fundamental necessity of constant change, it is easier if the culture of a company is founded on this idea. One of the key points about leadership is that a leader sets the pace through expectations and example (Lucas, 2019). In order for change to become permanently imbedded in an organization’s culture it must include three aspects. Organizations must understand and spell out the impact of the change on people, it must build an emotional and rational case for change, and it must ensure that the entire leadership team is a role model for the change (Harshak, Aguirre, & Brown, 2010). Having an assessment of how the change will impact the organization will help the company understand their employees. Change creates an emotional reaction that can make it difficult for companies to adjust. Building upon emotions can help people cope with a situation or build upon momentum to create lasting change. Leaders must be role models or employees will not buy-in. If employees feel like the leader is not willing to change, they too, will be unwilling to do so. The leader will be seen as a hypocrite and will lose credibility with their employees.
