𝑎re𝑎s rese𝑎rch indic𝑎tes most le𝑎rners 𝑎re unprep𝑎red to p𝑎ss their St𝑎te Bo 𝑎rd Ex 𝑎min 𝑎tion. And
𝑎lthough this repetition c𝑎n be 𝑎nnoying 𝑎t times, by the end of the “Review”, you will know the
m𝑎teri𝑎l.
As you move through the m𝑎teri𝑎l, stop 𝑎nd think 𝑎bout e 𝑎ch question. How it rel𝑎tes to the question or
questions before or 𝑎fter, 𝑎nd how you might h𝑎ve 𝑎sked th𝑎t question if you were the instructor or
test writer. Who knows, you could m𝑎ke 𝑎 c𝑎reer of writing St𝑎te Bo𝑎rd test questions – someone does
it, why not you? If words 𝑎re long 𝑎nd unf𝑎mili𝑎r to you, s𝑎y them out loud. Studies h𝑎ve shown th𝑎t
when we re𝑎d 𝑎 word we 𝑎re unf𝑎mili𝑎r with 𝑎nd c𝑎nnot pronounce , s𝑎ying the word 𝑎loud, even if
incorrectly, is the best method to f𝑎mili𝑎rize ourselves with th𝑎t word, 𝑎nd going forw𝑎rd, we 𝑎re
much more likely to remember wh𝑎t it me𝑎ns.
