Activity: Divergent Contextual Questions
Please note:
• These questions have been taken from a past literature test paper1. They will
give you a good idea of the type of questions to expect in your Divergent
assessments.
• You will be marking this activity yourself and then your teacher will record your
mark as a continuous assessment.
• It is worth doing this activity to the best of your ability and to mark your work
carefully to ensure you are well prepared for the assessment.

then into a new Word document.

“To live factionless is not just to live in poverty and discomfort; it is to live divorced
from society, separated from the most important thing in life: community.”
“My mother told me once that we can’t survive alone, but even if we could we
wouldn’t want to. Without a faction, we have no purpose and no reason to live.”
