Part 1: Summary

Review all video lectures on Windows Server 2012, 2016, and Nano deployments in uCertify
Lesson 1, and write a 2-paragraph summary on similarities to each and differences worth noting.

Some similarities between the Windows Server 2012, 2016 and Nano are

 Nano allows an application to run with everything it needs in one small and handy
container.

Have two types of containers Windows Server containers and Hyper-V containers

Containers are portable.

Some differences between the Windows Server 2012, 2016 and Nano are

Nano Server has a small service image.

 Windows Server containers are isolated from each other, but they run directly on
the Windows Server 2016 OS.

Nano has cloud service applications.

Windows Server 2016 features two types of containers.


Part 2: Paper

Conduct research in the library or on the Internet about the history of Windows Server and how it
compares to Linux. Write a 2-page APA formatted, descriptive paper on Windows Server's
history and select a Linux version to compare it to (such as Red Hat Fedora, Ubuntu, or
Debian®). Compare the evolution of Windows Server, including Windows 2012 R2 Server,
and find the major differences as well as similarities to Linux. Cite your sources.

These are the requirements for this portion of the lab:

1. At least 2 pages in length, not counting the title and reference pages, double-spaced,
font size 10 or 12.
2. Includes a highly developed viewpoint, purpose, and exceptional content.
3. Demonstrates superior organization, is well ordered, logical, and unified.
