Video 1; How Digital Marketing Will Change in 2021:
There isn’t a holy grail of digital marketing anymore, due to the digital market landscape being
oversaturated. COVID accelerated this problem, because people at home massively took to the
internet to promote their businesses and this made the market super competitive.
There are still a few trends that can be followed to get a leg-up on the competition in 2021:
1. Page speed will be more important, because not only does it increase conversion (by up
to 7%), it also increases their traffic and their SEO rankings (position on Google Search
and other search engines).
Page speed means having a fast website that is optimized for all devices. This can be
done by loading your non-static files from CDN’s to boost your load-time.
CDN = Content Delivery Network.
2. Content-length for text-based content doesn’t matter as much
People don’t want to see 2000 words for a simple search, they want to see a quick
video, gif. Quality matters.
Content Length for video and audio should be over 10 minutes. Longer videos
perform better than shorter 3-5 minutes videos in terms of reach. 20-30 minutes
videos don’t have as much of an impact.
3. It’s all about marginal gains
There is no holy grail anymore, due to the supercompetitve market, so one thing,
one “hack”, one measure won’t let you automatically beat your competition.
It’s about getting little marginal gains; the right amount of ‘the little things’ combined
can give you a leg up on your competition.
Voice search is a way to get more traffic. Using “Jetson AI” you can make your site
compatible with voice devices so people can buy things using voice search, which
turns traffic into sales (conversion).
4. How high you rank will matter more than ever
Over 35% of clicks go to the 1st search result
If you’re not in the top 10/page 1 you won’t be seen
5. Repurposing and updating content will be the norm
Most people try hard to create new content, but there’s a lot of money to be earned
in regularly updating content based on existing information.
Fresh, relevant repurposed content: needs to be super in-depth, videos are good but
the audio-market (podcasts) is booming right now, it doesn’t matter if you duplicate
content, optimize for new platforms like Clubhouse.
6. Backlinks won’t matter as much
