1.1 The seven key roles for teachers:
• Learning mediator
• Interpreter and designer of learning programmes and materials
• Leader, administrator and manager
• Scholar, researcher and lifelong learner
• Community, Citizenship and pastoral role
• Assessor
• Learning area/subject/discipline/phase specialist
1.2 Learning mediator:
To fulfil this key role, me as a professional teacher will always do my best to show each
of every learner how important they are and it’s okay to be different and also to teach
them to have respect for others.
I will include different types of learning methods in my class, so that everyone can
understand the work, therefore a lot of posters, video’s and relaxing music should work.
Introducing new sections of work and do the necessary research to improve my transfer
of knowledge to the classes.
Interpreter and designer of learning programmes and materials:
I will use different learning programmes so that the message can be given clearly
through and using some textual and visual resources to help learners learn even better.
I will monitor every learners pace, so that in the future I can give them enough time to
finish their work correctly and in time.
