Introduction
Sandra healthcare is an international hospital located in Pretoria, South Africa. Though
Sandra is a post-modern medical institute, it encounters significant challenges that have to be
addressed in response to patients’ welfare. The board of management, coupled with the welfare
department of the organization, came up with the master plan with a mission of diminishing and
erasing the pull-down of the healthcare. One of the purposes was to reduce risk within the
institution by implementing safety programs. Risk management is a critical aspect of an
organization, especially in healthcare facilities. In response to various incidents that take place
within healthcare settings, safety programs should be implemented to mitigate or reduce the rate
at which some adverse events crop up. (Issel & Wells, 2017).
Safety Implementation Methods
For the institution to develop the underlain programs, it had to ensure that they
comply with the ethical standards, patients' rights as well as patients' consent(Srinivas & Raju,
2017). The established programs include:
Fire safety program
Based on the fire safety program established by the hospital, it portrayed that the
plan satisfies the ethical standards of the served society. In this case, it is considered to be moral
for a healthcare facility to ensure that the patients within the setting are safe from the occurrence
of different incidents of fire outbreak. (Srinivas & Raju, 2017).The healthcare management
ensured that all the individuals within the environment are safe from fire incidents by installing
fire extinguishers with an alarm response mechanism in place. Sandra has reinforced the progress
through the provision of fire training education to the employees and the nearby community. The
