the learning goals of this lesson are aligned with the core goal 13 of the ERK, which states that students should learn how to use strategies in acquiring
information from spoken and written texts, and goals 15 and 16 which are mainly focused on the communicative function and the emphasis on English as a
target language (Staatsen & Heebing, 2015). According to the CEFR, students at A2 level, are able to understand phrases and the highest frequency
vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance. They can also use a series of simple phrases and sentences to communicate and express
themselves in English. However, this excerpt contains a language that is slightly higher than the pupils’ current level. According to Krashen, 'comprehensible
input' is the crucial and necessary ingredient for the acquisition of language (Lightbown & Spada, 2018)...................................................................................3
