further reduce the coil current.
That is the current has to gradually build up in the coil and once it
does ,it does not require as much current to keep it energized.Like a
flywheel, it takes alot to get it going but once its rotating not much is
needed,
The final current value prevents the brake coil from saturating and
thus allow it it to drop quicker and more gently when applying
