Together with the 'Introductory course' and 'English in Use' it is part of the three-course "Basismodul: Linguistik". This script is directed at students who have already done an Introductory course and contains a glossary with the most important terms of this script.

This script is based on the course "Introduction to British and American Literary Studies" (University Regensburg) and gives a good overview over the various topics of Literary Studies like: different theories and approaches, the analysis of drama, poetry and prose and much more.
